MiTo by Caterina Firenze Ltd., with its headquarters in Berat and Mr. Kriton Prendi as administrator, started operation in 3 october 2005. Since then, the company has grown in all its aspects and capabilities. In its beginnings the companies was a cut & sew business and could further progress in setting up the assembly line. The production capacity reached to 500 sewn pairs per day, with about 50 employees. Gradually, the company began to expand and get recognized in the market; this enabled the company consolidate and grow even more.Given the international and domestic market demand for orders, the factory would perform all the processes required for production of industrial & handmade women’s shoes of various types for every age group, working both, as a contractor for the foreign market, and with its own material for the domestic one, and created its own “Caterina Firenze” brand. Today the company has 6 sewing and 4 closing lines, as well as a cutting department consisting of 41 cutting equipment. All machines are of the latest advanced technology. The number of workers has increased and currently the company has 550 full-time employees. Today, the production capacity amounts to 3000 pairs per day.
